Shearwater
Shearwater was formed by two bandmembers of Austin, TX's Okkervil River. Okkervil's singer and guitarist, Will Sheff, and back-up vocalist and accordion/keyboard player, Jonathan Meiburg formed Shearwater so they could write softer, more folk-influenced music. Band members today include Jonathan Meiburg, Thor Harris, Kim Burke, Jordan Geiger, and Kevin Schneider. Archie Bronson Outfit
Archie Bronson Outfit (Dorian Hobday on bass/guitar, Sam Windett on vocals and lead guitar and Mark Cleveland on drums) are an English blues-rock band. The Archies formed after meeting at Kingswood School in Bath during the early 1990s, and released their second album, Derdang Derdang on April 3, 2006. The album was recorded in Nashville in the summer of 2005 and produced by Jacquire King. The album received generally excellent reviews, with UNCUT and Mojo awarding it four stars. The London listing magazine Time Out awarded it five.

Wye Oak
The droll tone and fleeting sweetness of a Yo La Tengo are cut into the more deeply textural concerns of shoegaze in the Baltimore group's work. It's an interesting alignment, given the contrast in senses of humor. But Wye Oak successfully shed tonnage from the latter without losing potency. Wye Oak (formerly known as Monarch) are Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack. Jenn & Andy have been playing music together and apart in Baltimore, MD, and chose their name from the honorary state tree of Maryland.

These New Puritans
These New Puritans (formed in 2006) are a four-piece band from Southend-on-Sea, United Kingdom, consisting of Jack Barnett (vocals, guitar, computer, sound), his twin brother George Barnett (drums, tapes, percussion), Tomas Hein (bass guitar, sampler, backing vocals, percussion) and Sophie Sleigh-Johnson (synthesizers). They mix indie with samplers and electronic experimental sounds. These New Puritans were commissioned by Hedi Slimane to compose the soundtrack for the 2007 Dior Homme show. The band's debut album "Beat Pyramid" was released in the UK in January 2008.

Popular Workshop
Popular Workshop are an indie rock trio based in London. Their first E.P. "Stutter and Dance" was relased in 2007 . They followed up a nationwide tour with Art Brut in February 2008 by flying to Chicago the next day to record their debut album with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio studios, which will be officially birthed unto the world in September, entitled 'We're Alive, And We're Not Alone'. The first fruits of this work will be the single 'PopSong', released July 7th on This Is Fake DIY Recordings (home of Duels and We Are The Physics).

Abdoujaparov
Abdoujaparov, the band of Les Carter (the Unstoppable Sex Machine) Abdoujaparov's musical foundations are the joyous and shambolic influences of 1977 punk rock. The music is raucous, fast and sometimes a bit country. The lyrics are rude, tender, funny and sometimes just plain bad. So far seven EPs and two albums 'Air Oden Disco Pub' and 'Cycle Riot History Gang' have been released on Spinach Records. A compilation CD featuring tracks from the first 3 EPs was released by Pop Gun in Australia. The band has toured the UK, Germany, Australia and America.

No Age
No Age is a noise rock band from Los Angeles, California which formed in December, 2005. The band consists of Randy Randall (guitar) and Dean Spunt (vocals, drums). The band has so far released two albums, 2007's "Weirdo Rippers" (a compilation of early material) and 2008's "Nouns". In mid-2008, the band released the single "Eraser", which has since become the band's best known song. Dean Spunt and Randy Randall, two perfectly nice fellows from the LA skate/art/punk underworld, comprise No Age...
