To Kill
Italian hardcore band To Kill formed in 2004 and have risen to become one of the most promising bands in today's European hardcore scene. They have toured relentelssly, following their self-titled debut release on Still Life Records and Watching You Fall in the U.S. on Catalyst Records. In 2006 they signed with GSR Records and released Vultures, which delivers their usual fast and heavy hardcore, followed in 2008 by When Blood Turns into Stone.
DevilDriver
DevilDriver is a metal band from California, United States. The group was started by Dez Fafara, formerly of the band Coal Chamber, as a result of frustrations stemming from the more mainstream direction his former band mates were attempting to take their music. After the demise of Coal Chamber, DevilDriver became his main focus. Their debut album, the self-titled "DevilDriver", was released on October 23, 2003 under Roadrunner Records.
Five Finger Death Punch
Five Finger Death Punch was formed in 2005 by guitarist Zoltan Bathory (formerly of U.P.O.). Other members recruited to the band include former Motograter & Ghost Machine vocalist Ivan Moody, former W.A.S.P. members guitarist Darrell Roberts and drummer Jeremy Spencer, and former Anubis Rising/Deadsett bassist Matt Snell.
The band recorded their debut album The Way of the Fist in 2006 with Stevo "Shotgun" Bruno (Mötley Crüe, Prong) and Mike Sarkisyan (Spineshank). The record was mixed and mastered by former Machine Head/Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader.
Underoath
Underoath formed in 1998 in Dallas Taylor's (vocalist at the time) bedroom in Tampa, Florida. The band was signed to Takehold Records in 1999 and that year released their debut, Act of Depression. This album was followed a year later by the five-song, forty-minute Cries of the Past; both albums are currently out of print. The band's line-up during this time changed frequently and bore little resemblance to the current band.
For the Fallen Dreams
Coming to you from Lansing Michigan, For The Fallen Dreams recently signed to Rise Records during the summer of 2007. The bands debut release 'Changes' caught the ears and hearts of many making them one of the biggest acts playing melodic hardcore with a metal influence. New comer Dylan Richter on vocal duties showcased the talent this band really has. While matching Chad's vocals, Dylan does more than just screaming as seen on the tracks 'Perceptions' & 'December Everyday' from the bands sophomore release 'Relentless' set to drop July 21st, 2009.
Dirge Within
DIRGE WITHIN formed in March of 2007 by founding members Shaun Glass, Jimmy Knight, and Jerms Genske. With the additions of Paz, and Matt Szlachta to follow in late April 2007. Immediately DIRGE WITHIN recorded the 3 song demo including the songs "Forever the Martyr" "Complacency Strain" and "Ties That Bind" at Mercenary Studios in Zion, IL. (Engineered by Scott Creekmore). The demo was mixed and mastered by James Murphy (Testament/Death) at Safehouse Productions.
In June of 2007 DIRGE WITHIN played their first show in Milwaukee, WI.
Palehorse
There are two bands called Palehorse 1.) London Sludge band featuring two bass palyers instead of a guitarist, went on hiatus for a while due to sharing a drummer with MTV2 darlings Million Dead but now back with a new EP on Eyes Of Sound
2.) Connecticutt Hardcore Band signed to Bridge Nine Records, which has released a demo, an EP entitled Secrets Within Secrets, a full length (Amongst The Flock) and a split album with Under One Flag.
Confession
Confession was started by Michael Crafter in 2008. Dan Brown from Byron Bay hardcore band 50 Lions plays bass. In 2008, Confession released an EP on Resist Records entitled Can't Live, Can't Breathe. The band has also completed several tours around Australia. The band has recently parted ways with their guitarist and drummer. Matt Owens, the former drummer, states on myspace that he left the band as he has decided to focus more time on other interests and careers and has nothing against the other band members.
Annotations of an Autopsy
Annotations of an Autopsy is a deathcore band from the UK. They formed in late 2006 with the purpose of writing aggressive low end death metal and playing it with passion, aggression and determination to insure they made their mark on the metal music scene worldwide. Influenced by bands such as devourment, skinless, circle of dead children, the acacia strain, goratory, deicide and aborted mixing old and new school death metal to form their own brand of aggressive deathcore.
The Chariot
There are five bands with a similar name: 1. "The Chariot" The Chariot is a metalcore band signed to Solid State Records. The Chariot was formed in 2003 by ex-Norma Jean front man Josh Scogin. Their debut full length album "Everything Is Alive, Everything Is Breathing, Nothing Is Dead, And Nothing Is Bleeding" was recorded entirely in one take, and was unmastered, which gave it more of a raw feel that was very similar to their live sound.
