Manatees

After the dissolution of Lockjaw signing, Second To Last, three former members, Greg Wynne, Alex Macarte and Paul Heron, reconvened and Manatees came into being. Having abandoned the musical direction of their previous band, they plummeted into a percussion focused prog-drone onslaught. The band cite many influences, from Neurosis to Pink Floyd, but never fall into the trap of replicating their idols, delivering a fresh, stunningly powerful sound.

Fuzzy Lights

Formed in Cambridge in 2004, Fuzzy Lights create haunted, visceral music that pulls and tugs at its moorings. As well as touring the UK as guests of Young God Record’s Mi & L’au, they have shared the stage with Jack Rose, Vetiver and MV&EE amongst others. Hard to pigeonhole as they combine both folk purity and psychedelic guitar noise with echoes of more traditional blues/Americana, their reverb-soaked, semi-improvised music is now collected on their debut album ‘A Distant Voice’ (released November 24th).

Dollboy

“This record seems to be about the sea and Englishness”
- Oliver Cherer Dollboy is Oliver Cherer, an English artist who makes quiet, reflective semi-organic music, a hybrid of analog electronic sounds, innovative soundprocessing and percussive acoustic instrumentation. A Beard of Bees is a highly polished Horse Brass of a record that collectively re-imagines a time of psychedelic pastoral whimsy, whilst jet age morris dancers drink pints of timothy taylors with Kevin Ayers.
