1.Artery were one of the most important and influential bands in the UK's post-punk scene, though they didn't sell many records and are often overlooked in pop histories. They were based in Sheffield UK, and between 1978 and 1985 recorded three studio albums, one live album, and a few singles. Their gigs were riotous. They defined the post-industrial outlook that Human League and Cabaret Voltaire adopted. They were the reason Jarvis Cocker decided to become a pop star.

Bear
1) Bear is an alternative rock group from Sheffield, formed in the mid 1990s by Chris Trout, formerly of various British alternative groups, including A.C. Temple, Kilgore Trout, and Spoonfed Hybrid. This band has had various other members over the years, but the sound and vision of the band have always been emphatically Trout's. http://misterchristrout.com 2) Bear was an indie/alternative band. Bromheads
Bromheads are a 50's inspired garage band formed in Sheffield, UK in 2009. Formed by Tim Hampton,and Dan Potter from their previous 3 piece band Bromheads Jacket. They're a duo building a reputation for raucous live shows in the UK in bedsits, underground clubs to guerrilla gigs in libraries. Chora
Around the turn of the century Chora’s trajectory to their astral plane became clear in Sheffield where, along with emerging kindred spirits, they represented a fresh triangulation of the northern free music family. Never wearing this Vibracathedral/Sunroof! influence on their sleeves, Chora have morphed from the premeditated electronic attacks of their early releases to the mushy tonal ur-states reached on their first European tour.

Volcanoes
LATE in 2004 four young men of high ambition formed a band called Volcanoes. Founded on acoustic roots the band emerged as an energetic yet soulful Rock and Roll band, diverging into Blues, Rock and Indie. This jigsaw of styles makes Volcanoes one of the most exciting and innovative new bands around. The bands debut recording The Red Door EP received wide acclaim, combined with their outstanding live performances the band has already made an impressive dent in both the Sheffield and Leeds music scene.

The Pete Green Corporate Juggernaut
The Pete Green Corporate Juggernaut is the live three-piece band of Sheffield indiepop singer-songwriter Pete Green. Along with Pete, the Juggernaut features Dan Hartley on bass and former Monkey Swallows the Universe and The Scarlet Tuesday drummer Rob Dean. The band formed in 2008. Choker have also made quite an impact with many venues and promoters waiting to book the band for summer shows and festivals.

Little Man Tate
Little Man Tate were a four-piece indie band from Sheffield, England who formed in 2005 and split in 2009. Like many other up and coming bands such as The Law, The View and The Lions, they made extensive use of MySpace as well as their own forum to communicate with and co-ordinate fans. The band quickly began attracting interest from several record labels and in March 2006 signed to V2 Records, later parting ways in November 2007.
