Crazy arm
From Plymouth, Crazy Arm is the versatile, hobocore lovechild that arose from two of the city's popular punk rock bands, No Comply (Jon Dailey and Simon Marsh) and The Once Over Twice (Darren Johns). Although the band has been together since May 2005 it wasn't until their respective bands split up in Feb/May 2006 that they became a more serious concern for all involved. And with the addition of fourth member, Dan Couling (Toxic Waste Brigade), Crazy Arm has developed a distinct and progressive style, shot through with a healthy dose of grass-roots radical politics.

Aias
Aias are Gaia, Laia and Miriam. Gaia sings and plays guitar. Laia sings and plays drums and Miriam sings and plays bass. And the three together they try to make songs for anyone else to sing. Pop with distortion, lots of "oooos" and vocal harmonies in in a cave with endless ceilings sung in their native Catalan (not Spanish, mind you!) Aias began as a birthday party band and by surprise ended up being a band for real, or at least that's their current intention.

The Vaselines
The Vaselines were an indie pop band from Glasgow, Scotland. Formed in 1986, the band was originally made up of only Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee, but later added James Seenan and Eugene's brother Charlie Kelly on bass and drums respectively from the band Secession. McKee had formerly been a member of a band named The Pretty Flowers with Duglas T. Stewart, Norman Blake and Sean Dickson. Eugene had formerly played in 'The Famous Monsters'. Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain once described Kelly and McKee as his "most favorite songwriters in the whole world".
Fanfarlo
Fanfarlo were conceived by Simon (vocals, guitar, keys, mandolin, sax, glock) while he was taking shelter in a forest from a particularly heavy snowstorm in Sweden. Inspired to move to London to form the band, he quickly found allies in Justin (bass) and Leon (trumpet/keyboards) when playing small gigs around the city. Mark (electric guitar, keys, vocals, accordian, fanfarlophone) then joined, and Fanfarlo's electronic backing track was ceremoniously destroyed when Amos (drums & percussion, vocals) was enlisted to complete the rhythm section.
