There are, at least, three artists known as Playgroup. 1) A pseudonym of London, UK electroclash / electro house producer & graphic designer Trevor Jackson (aka UNDERDOG). Jackson also ran, the now defunct, Output Recordings. Discography: Make It Happen! Broken Spindles is the brainchild of Joel Petersen of Omaha, Nebraska. He is in other Saddle Creek bands, playing bass guitar in The Faint and Beep Beep. The music is mostly instrumental with minimal vocals which Petersen sings. It originally started in 2001 as the soundtrack for a friend's film. It developed into a solo project with the first release in 2002 on Tiger Style Records. In between touring with The Faint and Beep Beep, Petersen found time to write music for Broken Spindles. The song, "Song No Song," from fulfilled/complete was used in a car commercial for Lexus
There are three artists with this name: 1) Former singer for the band Hugo Largo. Her full name is Mimi Goese. She has released one solo album "Soak." She has also worked with Moby. 2) London-based artista and musician. Plays unusual places at short notice. (house gigs, art fairs, on a raft....) Often improvises with non-drummers drumming, often seen drumming herself. People she has played with include Les Enfants Bastard, Ignatz Höch, H, Jeion Nejad, Morvern Callar, AdHoc.
Jenny O. is a musician based in Los Angeles, CA. She is currently touring and in production of her second full-length album with producer Jonathan Wilson. In 2011, Jenny self-produced the Home EP and released it on Manimal Vinyl Records. In 1998 with the support of Giacomo Maiolini, owner of Time Records, Alex founds Rise Records, which soon becomes one of the most respected European labels, signing hit records like The Tamperer and Black Legend (Alex is the only Italian A&R who had two # 1 in the UK sales chart ) and the super -hit of Robbie Rivera “Bang”, which allowed him in 2000 to get the nomination as best European A&R at the European Music Awards in London.
Producer/Composer Daisuke Asakura (浅倉大介) and Vocalist Hiroyuki Takami (貴水博之) (real name Hiroyuki Fukuda) formed access in 1992. They released three orginal albums (Fast Access, Access II, and Delicate Planet) under the record label "BMG FUNHOUSE" before disbanding in 1995. Before access, Takami appeared on Asakura's album "D-Trick" performing the songs "1000 Nen no Chigai", "Toy Box in the Morning", and "Cosmic Runaway" (which later would be known as Daisuke Asakura PRED. AXS - Cosmic Runaway).
Cordelia's Dad is a band from Northampton, Massachusetts that combines folk and punk rock influences and was instrumental in the creation of the genre later to be dubbed "No Depression". The band formed in 1987 and was active until 1998, when the members relocated to different parts of the country. After releasing an album of older material in 2002 the band has reunited in 2007 for their twentieth anniversary.
